Webinar on Online Counterfeiting: Protect Your Business!
The Digital Enterprise Hub of Turin (Punto Impresa Digitale) and the Provincial Committee for the Fight Against Counterfeiting (Comitato provinciale di Torino per la lotta alla contraffazione), with the contribution of UNICRI (an international member of its board) are organising a webinar to explore the connections between counterfeiting and organised crime, and their impact on legitimate business operations.
Organised crime increasingly uses counterfeiting as a tool for money laundering and the advancement of illicit activities, damaging legal enterprises through unfair competition and undermining their reputation.
To counter these threats, businesses are required to adopt advanced management models and ensure ongoing market surveillance.
The webinar will highlight the most common types of abuse and counterfeiting, with a focus on reputational risk and corporate responsibility towards consumers. It will also showcase tools adopted by companies most exposed to such threats, including brand reputation audits, online abuse prevention, and customs monitoring practices.
This event is part of the Protecting Intellectual Property in the Era of Industry 4.0 webinar series and is designed to address the needs of businesses of all sizes and sectors.
