IEPILP Overview
The International Postgraduate Expert Programme in Investigative and Legal Psychology (IEPILP) is organized by UNICRI in collaboration with the Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU), Finland, and with the support of the Salesian University Institute of Turin (IUSTO) and its CRIMELAB, Italy.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a feature of science fiction writing for almost a century, but it is only in more recent years that the prospect of truly autonomous robotics - even those that have only limited functionality - have become viable. While this potentially will provide great opportunities, the development of AI is likely to impact upon the very functioning of society, posing practical, ethical and security challenges.
The new online Bibliography on Cyber Threats includes all the material that has been collected for the preparation of specific projects developed by UNICRI's Emerging Crimes team and the documentation acquired by the UNICRI Library. The collected documents are now accessible online and can be consulted via the relevant electronic link.
UNICRI’s roundtable, entitled “Cybercrime: Risks for the Economy and Enterprises”, took place in Lucca, Italy on 29 November 2013. The event, which was supported by Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation, brought together experts from a range of organizations in both the private and public sectors to discuss the risks for businesses in regard to cybercrime, while also discussing legal options and the implementation of good practices.
